The brilliant props and costumes as well as the cute and bubbly girls make this production a very entertaining one.   Do look out for six year old Chloe Choo who plays Molly.  The show stealer is extremely adorable on stage.

Su Pollard who plays the intolerable and almost always drunk Miss Hannigan is best known for her role as Peggy in the BAFTA Award-winning sitcom Hi-de-Hi! which ran for eight years on primetime BBC.    Other TV programmes that she has appeared in include Two Up Two Down, You Rang M’Lord?, Oh Doctor Beeching!, Gimme Gimme Gimme, The Royal Variety Show, Take the Plunge (quiz show host), Loose Women, The Paul O’Grady Show, This Morning, Richard and Judy, Songs of Praise, and The Weakest Link.    Su is a familiar name in London’s West End, performing in Godspell, Me & My Girl, Don’t Dress for Dinner, Menopause the Musical and Shout!    She has also toured UK extensively in over eighteen musicals.

David Mcalister has dabbled in all walks of entertainment.  He has performed Franco Zefferelli’s Pagliacci at Covent Garden, appeared in films such as Who Dares Wins, Princess Daisy and in TV Comedies Harry Enfield and Chums, regularly in TV Dramas as well as heard on BBC radio dramatizations of Lord of the Rings, Cold Comfort Farm, Kind Hearts and Coronets and The Archers as well as narrating books.

David has played Kurt Weill in Ken Russell’s Weill and Lenya and was last seen in London’s West End as Ernest Simpson in Always.  He has also played Noel Coward in Sheridan Morley’s Noel & Gertie as well as The Sound of Music, PEG and A Month in the Country with Ingrid Bergman.  His powerful low voice as Oliver Warbucks gives him the stage presence required for a very kind and influential billionaire in Annie.

Annie The Musical is something not to be missed. We found it extremely entertaining and would recommend to other fans of musicals. Other than the occasional muffled singing by the young girls, overall, you would probably leave the musical singing the words of Tomorrow.
