In conjunction with World AIDS Day, independent Singaporean film-maker Edgar Tang releases I Hugged the Berlin Patient, a documentary feature about his quest to find Timothy Ray Brown, the first man ever to be cured of HIV.

A cancer survivor himself, Edgar plunges into a spontaneous and reflective search for the man who became known as the "Berlin Patient", retracing the medical marvel's life through his favourite city and the doctor who cured him, and his friends.

Spanning three continents, I Hugged the Berlin Patient is an organic journey about taking chances and making choices, culminating in a riveting face-to-face meet between two survivors.
