noticed they cut short a number of songs, some abruptly, and didn't particularly like some of the camera angles and settings. Thought they could have borrowed a bit more from the musical to lend more dramatic impact.
pleasant surprise to see Colm Wilkinson (original Valjean) as the priest, was trying to figure which prostitute was Frances Rufelle (original Eponine), read that Linzi's small role/song was cut from the film.
Hathaway did good, had in my mind an older Fantine tho'- and a mezzo soprano at that.
Eddie did well - not as suave as I had hoped, looked a bit like a monkey.
Siegfried did well - sounded like a fluttering canary tho'.
