FACT is:
ACORN and Project Vote are being investigated for widespread electoral crimes in America’s closely contended states -- potentially millions of fraudulent voter registrations and the destruction of those of Republican voters. The door is open for fraudulent votes and election theft.

Obama worked as executive director of ACORN’s voter-registration arm, Project Vote, in 1992. Joined by two other community organizers on Chicago’s South Side, Obama conducted the voter-registration drive that helped elect Carol Moseley-Braun to the Senate that year.

Obama has funneled $800,000 to ACORN for their 2008 General Election operations and then lied about it.
They were disguised in his FEC disclosure as payments to a front group called Citizen Services Inc. for "advance work."

Obama organized Project Vote activities in Chicago, in 1992 and has trained ACORN operators.

ACORN admits Project Vote is part of ACORN and Michelle Malkin outlines the scope of their criminal behavior.

House Republicans will introduce a bill that would end all federal funding to ACORN and its affiliates. Republicans are also sending a letter to Obama on the same subject.

The Washington News Observer published a video of Iowa Rep. Steve King delivering the opening statement at a Congressional forum on ACORN on December 1, 2009.
He said he is convinced that any investigation of ACORN will reflect poorly on the Obama administration, and "...these low roads, following ACORN, do lead to the White House."

Obama is attempting to downplay his connection to the radical activist group ACORN. But this video clip shows that he is not only connected but has promised an entire coalition of radical community organizations, responsible for voting fraud and the subprime crisis, that they will help "shape the agenda" in his presidential administration.



Ben Smith says the embattled liberal group ACORN is in the process of dissolving its national structure, with state and local-chapters splitting off from the underfunded, controversial national group, an official close to the group confirmed.

"ACORN has dissolved as a national structure of state organizations," said a senior official close to the group, who declined to be identified by name because of the fierce conservative attacks on the group that began when a conservative filmmaker caught some staffers of its tax advisory arms on tape appearing to offer advice on incorporating a prostitution business.

The videos proved a rallying point for conservatives who had long accused the group of fomenting voter registration fraud. Though the videos did not produce criminal charges, they appear to have been fatal to the national organization.

Altho` in Nevada, ACORN pleaded guilty to one felony count of unlawful compensation for registration of voters, stemming from an illegal voter registration scheme in its Las Vegas office during in the 2008 race.

Congress ultimately passed Republican-backed amendments to appropriations legislation that ended federal funding for the group.
The national radical organization whose mission included registering and turning out the dead and dying, and low-income and minority voters, announced on this election day that it was filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Spearheading the effort to keep taxpayer dollars out of the hands of ACORN was Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa), who said:

"ACORN is a corrupt criminal enterprise that threatens our democratic system of government by systematically committing voter registration fraud. American taxpayers should not be asked to fund an organization that is dedicated to corrupting the sanctity of every American's vote."

King's amendment turning off the funding spigot was approved 251 to 168.

Judicial Watch discovered that the Obama administration continues to bankroll ACORN and its affiliates in defiance of the federal government’s funding ban. For example, on March 1, 2011, ACORN Housing Corporation - renamed Affordable Housing Centers of America (though it retained the same headquarters and many of the ACORN officers) - received a $79,819 grant from the Obama Department of Housing and Development (HUD).

Rumors of ACORN’s demise are vastly overstated. ACORN and its partner in crime Project Vote are both alive and well and operating across the country," said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton. "Given the corrupt activities of these organizations, there is no question they pose a threat to clean and fair elections in 2012. And the fact that the Obama Justice Department will take no action to address the corrupt activities of ACORN and its thinly disguised spinoffs is a scandal in and of itself."

Senator Inhofe (R-OK) Hailed $25 Million In Stimulus Money He Called “No Stimulus … Welfare” As “Necessary Funds.” Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) told CNS News last month, “I don’t think it [failed] – I know it. I said at the time, there’s no stimulus in the stimulus bill.” He also called the Recovery Act simply “welfare.” However, as MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow reported, Inhofe has a history of stimulus hypocrisy. For instance, despite attacking the stimulus as a complete waste, Inhofe hailed $25 million dollars in stimulus money for a Tar Creek Superfund site as “great news” and “necessary funds.”

Atlanta Journal-Constitution: “And The Associated Press reported in August that the state’s Republican senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, asked Defense Secretary Robert Gates to steer $50 million in stimulus money to a constituent’s bioenergy project. Sen. Mike Johanns (R-NE) Quietly Requested Stimulus Projects For His State. The Washington Times reported: “Before his vote against the stimulus, Sen. Mike Johanns, who took office last year from Nebraska, predicted that “the money would simply never reach the economy.” [...] Yet he saw the prospect of at least a few dozen jobs in a letter he later sent to Mr. Vilsack for a home-state project, records show. ‘The proposed project would create 38 new jobs and bring broadband to eight hospitals, five colleges, 16 libraries and 161 K-12 schools,” Mr. Johanns wrote.’ [Washington Times, 2/9/10]

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) Brags About Stimulus Projects, Requests More Money. McConnell and Rep. Ben Chandler (D-KY) toured a construction site at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Madison County, Kentucky. McConnell quickly took credit for the new construction, noting that he and Chandler had inserted an additional $5 million into the 2010 budget. McConnell bragged: “This is going to be a source of significant employment. At the peak, we could have up to 600 people working on this, and we believe the substantial majority of those workers will be Kentuckians.” However, McConnell conveniently forgot to mention that even more additional funds for facility construction were awarded through the stimulus. A Defense Department report states that $5,876,000 has been allocated from the Recovery Act to the Blue Grass facility for repairs. (Chandler voted for the stimulus.)

Senators Tom Coburn (R-OK) and John McCain (R-AZ) have put out an excellent report on how your stimulus money is being spent. The report, Summertime Blues, has one example of Obama Stimulus money being used to study the effects of how “monkeys react under the influence of cocaine.”

28. Monkeys Get High for Science (Winston-Salem, NC) – $144,541
Researchers at Wake Forest University think that, in at least one case, it is good to monkey around with your stimulus dollars. The Department of Health and Human Services has sent $144,541 to the Winston-Salem college to see how monkeys react under the influence of cocaine. The project, titled “Effect of Cocaine Self-Administration on Metabotropic Glutamate Systems,” would have the monkeys self-administer the drugs while researchers monitor and study their glutamate levels. When asked how studying drug-crazed primates would improve the national economy, a Wake Forest University Medical School Spokesman said, “It’s actually the continuation of a job that might not still be there if it hadn’t been for the stimulus funding. And it’s a good job.” He added, “It’s also very worthwhile research.”

You can’t make this stuff up.

UPDATE: Just checked Recovery.gov and they claim that this project reported “0.43″ jobs created as a result of this award. This may explain the inflated numbers of jobs “saved or created” by the Obama Stimulus plan.

GOP STIMULUS HYPOCRISY GETS EVEN MORE EMBARRASSING.... There's a reason Democrats have latched on to the story of Republican hypocrisy on the Recovery Act so enthusiastically -- the GOP is giving Dems a lot to work with.

Two weeks ago, the Washington Times found that "more than a dozen" Republican lawmakers, all of whom insisted that the stimulus package was an awful idea that couldn't possibly help the economy, privately urged the Department of Agriculture to send stimulus money to their states and districts, touting the investments' economic benefits. Last week, the Wall Street Journal moved the ball forward, pointing to "more than a dozen" GOP lawmakers who privately sought stimulus money from the Department of Labor, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Forest Service.

Today, Bloomberg News takes this a step further.

Alabama Republicans Jo Bonner and Robert Aderholt took to the U.S. House floor in July, denouncing the Obama administration's stimulus plan for failing to boost employment. "Where are the jobs?" each of them asked.

Over the next three months, Bonner and Aderholt tried at least five times to steer stimulus-funded transportation grants to Alabama on grounds that the projects would help create thousands of jobs.

They joined more than 100 congressional Republicans and several Democrats who, after voting against the stimulus bill, wrote Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood seeking money from $1.5 billion the plan set aside for local road, bridge, rail and transit grants. The $862 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act passed last year with no Republican votes in the House and three in the Senate.



Asked for an explanation, Republicans relied on the usual spin, insisting that the money was going to be spent anyway, so they wanted to help their constituents.

But, again, that doesn't change the hypocrisy. These same GOP officials said the stimulus is simply incapable of creating jobs and generating economic growth. But their letters to the administration prove that they actually believe recovery funds are capable of creating jobs and generating economic growth -- in their states and districts. It even leads Republicans to take credit for projects that wouldn't have existed if they'd had their way.

The Hill reported over the weekend that the hypocrisy story has given Democrats their "first real traction in weeks" in going on the offensive against Republicans. "For the first time in weeks, Republicans were clearly on the defensive," the article noted.

With that in mind, expect to hear even more about this as the year progresses.
