Maybe by catching on late you didn't follow the whole saga. Rainingeveryday had plenty of opportunity to do something positive about the alleged insult he received. Instead he did nothing but write some emails to CF and with the tail between his legs he let the CF guys walk all over him.

I would be the first to advise to drop CF, but it has to be for the right reasons.

First, consider the reasons to go to a gym: to have a place to do aerobic and weight training that has all the necessary machines in good condition, with sufficient availability and space (not congested), adequate auxiliary facilities like locker room, showers, and that is open at the hours it is convenient to use it.

Steam room, jacuzzi, swimming pool, personal trainers, child care, smiling and friendly staff, etc. etc. are "extras" that may not add much value to the place, depending on each person's interests, but in general of little or no value.

Unfriendly personnel who is hostile, homophobic, elitist, etc. etc. is NOT a reason to leave a place. Instead, it's an opportunity to become assertive and self-confident.

If you look back in this thread you can read all the suggestions and advice DailyRaining received over how to handle his situation, which he could not live up to because of his weakness. Hereby lies the root of the problem

I was tied down by CF as my membership has been prepaid years ago. I still left a few more years of prepaid membership. If I leave CF, they will win as I will lose my money. And why should I leave CF when they are in the wrong.

I hope that all of you will not prepaid any form of membership because if anything happen, it will be difficult to get out and they won't let you get out easily as they are "professional" in this area. According to a newspaper article, CASE received hundred of complains about CF each year.

Try other gyms. Nowadays there are smaller boutique gyms who have friendly staff and trainers, and who are genuinely interested in health and fitness, not there to make fun or scold their gym members.

Recently, I was at that gym and was looking at the front and side mirrors to see whether my posture was correct when lifting the dumbbell. To my horror, that guy who has the history of scolding member "f**king gay" saw me and flexed his bicep a few times behind his male client in front of the mirror that I was using too.

Can't believe that he show off in front of me and his client.

May I ask if this is the service standard that California allows for members to be treated this way ??? I am very SHOCKED as I have never encountered such service in my entire life (not that I demand to be treated like a king). Having said that, service from California has never been great anyway, as I had previously been given nothing but silence after drafting emails to the previous logistics manager of Raffles Cali to tell them that I had personally seen soap dispensers on the floor of showering cubicles without the cover (and this was during the H1N1 period!) and shower stalls with even the metal bracket missing and there was even a period of time when some stalls dont even supply hot water.

I will carbon copy this entire paragraph to other competitor gym fitness chains in Singapore and also to the newsapapers, and I SINCERELY HOPE YOU WILL PROVIDE SOME FEEDBACK AND ANSWER because I had been treated with nothing but SILENCE once before. (CC True Fitness, True Yoga, Pure Fitness, Forums etc)

At the end of the day, I believe this is a battle that the person in question has to be willing to fight all the way. In my opinion, I feel that an apology on Cali's part may not be sufficient. The staff needs to make a private apology face to face with the customer. And the fact that Cali refused to tell what has been done internally is unacceptable.

However, at the end of the day, as long as the person involved feel that enough has been done. Then so be it. Just my two cents worth.
