Oh the amount of adultery that goes on in the world of entertainment, even sports (Tiger Woods, Beckham & Rebecca Loos, countless England footballers) - it's unreal; yet these adulterers are happily still working away. The amount of bullshit I see in the UK papers about Ashley Cole's affairs - it gets boring. We're like, you're having another affair again? Like are you being paid by the tabloids to sleep around like that just so they can have another headline exclusive to write about and sell more crappy tabloids? Hence in that context, I don't see all the fuss is about.

For me, any reason if not watching his movies won't be due to this. Condemn? Probably too strong a word....just say there'll be a small blemish on his image...regardless of whether he's celebrity or not (i mean if he's just a friend u know). We do tend to have an image of someone (based on his history) even we said we would give ppl chance.

Actually i would agree with u....if u condemn some survey mentioned in Wanbao/Shinmin today....think a radio station did that asking if listeners forgive Jack Neo or not...think most said yes. For me, shouldn't be the public...only his family and maybe some of the gals.

For us, we can only talk-talk and gossip...haha. And like the news, would eventually lose interest on this too.

For "director" Jack Neo's case, it was prob cos of his MORALISTIC movies...

It's NOT unusual for fans to be VERY VERY PERSONAL.

That said, I dont like Jack's films at all and can't imagine paying $ to watch them.
I've always felt he was OVERrated. Eric Khoo, Kevin Tong.. Those are local directors who SERIOUSLY delivered.

I agree. Entertainers only seek to entertain - they don't pretend to be some kind of moral authority for society. The only people who preach morals are those in religious orders - and even then, you have all kinds of scandals. Just look at what is happening in Ireland at the moment where the Catholic church has just had to apologize for years of cover up of pedophile priests in their church.

We're all responsible for our own morals - it's ridiculous, nay even stupid to get angry for someone else's mistakes. Don't judge them, as the famous saying goes, let he who is innocent cast the first stone.

I do not agree that his wife is a victim. I think his wife has contributed to his behaviour. This is a social contract and marital undertanding between them, two mature adults. The wife's attitude is "you can go fool around, no worries, I close one eye. I still love you and it's OK, I will still sayang you like my fifth kid. I love the marriage, that's all that matters". Given any men of course will go out and "eat" lah.

But give Jack a break lah, his wife also doesn't mind and can condone such behaviour, who are we to say anything?
