My biggest complaint about the film was that there should have been more than one kiss scene!!
But if there are too many of them, it might turn off the mass non-gay audience that the movie is also targetted at. Remember how the movie promotional trailer was even shot in a way to pare down the "gay" component of the story?
As it is, I thought the movie strikes a fine balance of satisfying the gay audience with that tender kiss scene while not grossing out the rest of the non-gay audience with too many of such intimitate scenes.

As for Pchy....not really impress by his acting.
Quite forgettable....
Mew is supposed to have lots of angst and lovelorn feeling for Tong, ...but all I remember is him looking lost and smiling stupidly thru`out the movie.
Altho` the first part before his grandma died (no vocal) was so poignant and sad.
It's interesting how different people see things in a different way, i thought Mario was pretty wooden throughout the film (and i wasnt that impressed with June either), and that Pchy alongside Tong's mother were the stars of the film! Thought Pchy gave a convincing performance, although perhaps some of his characters behaviour was a bit questionable.

Could be bi?
In a Thai-English mag that I read, it is mentioned that he has a girlfriend who also happens to be a celebrity.
Most Thai boys are...
But I guess since he is in the entertainment industry, even tho if he is straight...with his sexy adorable looks, I am sure many producers or directors would want a 'piece of him"...
Casting couch....lah!
I know I would ...
Not forgetting that he did try to break into the German market in the Hip Hop music industry. ...where boys with his pan-Asian good looks are in demand wor!

Wow, I just watched Threesome. Nice story. I know one that happened in real life. Can't wait to see the Thai version. Hope Roommate's gonna have a better twist and wish Mario's gonna play the gay role. Oh yeah.
Thai actor and model Mario Maurer has pulled out of a starring role in the dramatic comedy Roommate...

hmmhh, this two guys acting in this wonderful movie...what else can i say..bravo to mario n pchy. really fall in love with their acting skills.
i love pchy character, almost like me....maybe...hehehehe.
Mario is cute but he's really lost with his identity..so let him settledown.
it would be luvly if "Tong" character created http://aiz-upsidedown.blogspot.com/as a firm guy. Refer to "Mew", this character is so lovely which calm and steady based on his background which started life with all lonely feeling.
i'm impress at the end of the story, even its not end up the way i want it to be, i'm thankful that i realize that sometime in life we couldn't get both worlds. And always appreciate people arround you.

BTW...Mario in his film debut as a gay boy in Love of Siam was nominated for an Asian Film award for Best supporting actor.
Altho` he lost................he did won Best Actor in Starpics Thai Films Awards and also nominated in Bangkok Critics Assembly and Star Entertainment Awards.
After "Friendship" (which is too dram-rama draggy-tragedy for me...) I am really looking forward to his next role in Piti Jaturapat's "Roommate," adapted from Andrew Fleming's 1994 American Film "Threesome"
It starred Lara Flynn Boyle, Stephen Baldwin and Josh Charles. with the title: One girl. Two guys. Three possibilities.
I hope Mario plays Josh Charles gay role....where he finally managed to have sex with his straight friend and his girl friend when they ended up sharing a dormitory room..
On second thoughts...Stephen balwin "straight friend role" had lots of nude scenes tho`....and I would love to see more of Mario`s sexy body.

Frankly, one can understand why "Tong" would not be suitable for "Mew" (thank goodness the director is grounded in reality) as Tong needs a stable friend to support what he is going thru in his life., and Mew is too wishy washy and closeted for his own good.

To really know how good looking Mario Maurer is, just go to Bangkok, like right now.
I went there in early July, and he was in every other commercial... It's so scary. He really looks better with hair, especially in the Pepsi commercial.

Another nice version of LoS...not sure what is the song title though...would be great if someone knows =]
dat's the theme song from Bangkok Love Story.
it's 'yak roo .. mai yak tam' (lit: Want to know ... don't want to ask) by CBB.

In the end there was a scene where it shows mario kissing pchy on the cheek which is not shown on LoS...quite cute...enjoy =]
OMG! That is so so so so sweet. I really hope they are secret lovers in real life.

Nahs. Give me Mario anytime.
Pchy just looks like every other guy in Singapore.
To tell you the truth I thought Mario was more attractive than Pchy at first, but once I started listening to Pchy sing and read up more about him in real life, I guess his whole package kinda appealed more to me. Heh.
But I have to admit, Mario is darn hot!
