Sound like infinity membership, which was discontinued for sometime.

California run many promotions over the years, and pricing were different at each promotion. Mine is a platinum membership, but only S$62/mth (not credit card installment plan) with GST no expiry date, as long as I keep paying. According to the sales staff my membership is very rare and such membership price will never be repeated again. So she tell me don't upgrade, nothing on her list now come close to what I am paying.

She said some might be cheaper than mine monthly fee but only on paper calculation, but members have to use a credit card to do installment payment or pay full a lump sum, and the membership only last for like 3 years.

I heard Bangkok California does not accept SG platinum members free entry anymore. All the previous promises now become invalid, so that they can promote their new membership.

so u can ask for better offer by using this info...

I really think it's not really worth it to sign up with them now because they are just so so crowded unless you want to work out early in the mornings before you head to work.

Just go to combat classes bah. Its more cardio and quite easy. Heard a few new joiners commenting that its fun, so just try. Actually when i first joined gym I expected lots of well bodied people, but actually some are not exactly thin. Some are quite fat (usually gals) but also join class and stand in front somemore. Usually the model thin people dun need excercise mah, so no need go gym.

Good luck with your workout. If you hang around long enough to learn to do it right and stick with it, there is no way you will miss the results. It is like cause and effect.

Either you drop the fat or you drop the gym. The two don't coexist well for long.

$100 plus for cali is absolutely not worth it... its probably worth less than half that amount... all branches r so crowded during peak hours... many classes r oso soooo crowded.... n u hv to rent shoe locker and bring ur own lock...

I have been around gyms all my life and I don't know of any limits they impose on their membership. They will sell as many as they can. If the place gets too packed, they will advice to come on off-hours.

Unfortunately, a gym is necessary for good workout. But the frills are not. Good machines are the biggest value to a gym. Trainers, we can do without. As long as we can read, we can learn about exercising by consuling books. Also by watching what the good bodies do in the gym.
